Enter Steppefall — a 2D action-adventure game filled with ancient ruins, deadly environments, elemental powers, hidden secrets and things that probably should have stayed buried.
⚔️ THE JOURNEY
Travel through a world inspired by the landscapes, legends and history of the Mongol Empire.
Fight your way through:
- 🏕️ Korecho Camp
- 🏜️ The Silk Road Catacombs
- 🏰 The Sunken Fortress
- ❄️ The Frozen Tundra Vault
- ⚒️ The Sky Forge
Each location contains dangers, secrets and at least one thing that someone probably should have tested before release.
🔥 FOUR ELEMENTS
The trial is divided between four elemental forces:
🔥 FIRE 🌍 EARTH 💧 WATER 🌪️ AIR
Face powerful elemental bosses, discover new abilities and uncover the truth behind the Khan's legacy.
But there is something beyond the four elements.
Something ancient.
Something powerful.
Something that definitely wasn't in the original plan.
🗡️ CHOOSE YOUR FIGHTER
Play as different contestants, each with their own weapons and abilities.
The Pirate — Has a sword. Also has a gun. Don't ask where he got it.
The Knight — Heavy armour. Heavy sword. Heavy everything.
The Alchemist — Solves problems by throwing explosives at them.
The Ronin — Extremely skilled. Extremely dangerous. Probably doesn't appreciate being called a Samurai.
The Nomad — Has survived this long. That's probably a good sign.
🪙 EXPLORE. FIGHT. COLLECT.
Explore levels, collect coins, discover weapons and armour, unlock abilities and find secrets hidden throughout the world.
Some secrets are easy to find.
Some are ridiculous.
Some are hidden so well that we're not entirely sure we remember where they are.
👁️ THERE ARE SECRETS
Steppefall contains hidden rooms, developer jokes, unused weapons, strange encounters and things that aren't explained.
There may even be a room that almost nobody will ever find.
If something seems slightly out of place...
maybe we put it there.
Or maybe we didn't.
🛠️ THIS IS AN ALPHA
Steppefall is actively being developed.
So yes:
There will be bugs.
There will be unfinished things.
There will be questionable design decisions.
And occasionally, something will break in a way that is far funnier than the feature we were actually trying to make.
That's development.
New versions, features, secrets and areas will be released as the game grows.
If you find something broken, please tell us.
Preferably before it becomes a feature.
